IGNIS MUN is a program that lasts for three weeks, where mentees are given at least 30 hours of training in public speaking, research and analysis, and in resolution writing. Mentees are divided into committees of 20-30 students, and are paired with mentees from other schools to act as a two-person delegation in the MUN conference, which is held on the final day of the program. IGNIS HK is committed to keeping the mentor-mentee ratio lower than 1:5, and mentors are carefully selected and briefed beforehand so that they can facilitate the learning of mentees as much as possible throughout the three weeks. The entire cohort of mentees meet for three times, on three consecutive Saturdays, training intensively from nine to five. Mentors and mentee groups are given the freedom to meet outside of our designated venues on weekdays during the program to conduct further research and resolution writing.
